1972 Jaguar XJ6 Series 1

The XJ6 engine, mounted on a separate chassis which is attached to the main body through vibration absorbing rubber insulators provides for tone of the quietest cars built.  4-wheel independent suspension, lower center of gravity and wider track, provide for tremendous handling , stability, and ride comfort.  "Anti-dive" suspension maintains level stability even under hard braking with now front-end dive.  Produced from 1968 through 1973 , series 1 came equipped with a 4-speed manual standard with overdrive or an optional 3-speed automatic.   The engine is a in-line 6 cylinder, twin overhead camshaft, 2792cc standard or and optional 4235cc.
