1969 Austin 1800

Code named as the BMC AD017, the Austin 1800 was also sold as the Morris 1800, teh Wolseley 18/85, and later as the Austin 2200 and Wolseley Six.  Colloquially known as the "Land Crab", the 1800 was voted Europe's Car of teh Year for 1965.  The unofficial nickname " Land Crab" came about as a journalist commented on how they corner sidways when viewed from a helicopter.  Production was from 1964-1975, approximately 221,000 cars were produced in the UK and Australia.
